Introduction to Open Water Swimming
Service Description
This course is aimed at those who are - New to Outdoor Swimming Looking to improve confidence in the open water, or to refresh their skills Experienced pool swimmers, but new to Open Water Swimming The sessions will be held at Burton Farm which is a great location and perfect for beginners. The lake is shallow and enclosed, with classes of a maximum of 6 people. There is also a fantastic cafe for coffee and cake after the session. These classes will aim to introduce swimmers with little or no experience of swimming outside and give you the confidence to swim outdoors. By taking part in this session, I believe that you will find it a great opportunity to do something for you, meet likeminded people and start to be a part of a wonderful community. The class is 75 minutes and covers: Welcome, getting to know you, and a safety briefing Safety Equipment Water Entry Acclimatisation Basic Open Water Skills In Water Safety Debrief IMPORTANT NOTES Wetsuits are optional A Tow Float is mandatory This class is for over 18s only. Please note, you MUST be able to swim already. These classes are not to teach swimmers to swim, it is coaching swimmers to swim outdoors.

Cancellation Policy
By booking any service offered by Together We Swim, you agree to be bound by this cancellation policy. ​ ​If you are unable to attend your session, up to 7 days prior to your session start date and time, you can reschedule your session. Once this request is acknowledged and processed, you will be able to request a new session at a later date - up to the same value as the cancelled session. No reschedules or refunds within the 7 days leading up to your session. If we need to cancel a session: ​We are an all year round swimming facility. If, for any reason, we need to cancel or reschedule your session we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible. If we cancel due to weather, i.e. lightening we will arrange to reschedule your session with you. If we need to cancel a session due to operational reasons, such as coach availability, we will offer a full refund or a transfer to an alternative session up to the same value. If we need to cancel a session, while it is in progress, due to unforeseen or extenuating circumstances, we will offer you credit for another full session at no additional cost. ​ Together We Swim are not responsible for additional costs associated with cancellations by us. E.g. - travel and hotel costs. ​
